8 min read

Genshin Impact 7.1 Phase II begins on October 13, 2026, featuring Skirk and Escoffier banners, alongside Azurelight and Symphonist of Scents on Epitome Invocation. Check the schedule, shared guarantee count rules, and where to top up Genesis Crystals at competitive prices.

Version 7.1 Phase II Is Officially Announced

HoYoverse has published the official Version 7.1 Phase II Event Wish notice, dated October 8, 2026. The announcement has Travelers checking their Primogem reserves, as Phase II brings two 5-star Cryo character banners and one weapon banner running during the same period.

Here are the three Event Wishes available in Phase II:

  • "Void Star's Advent", featuring the 5-star "Void Star" Skirk (Cryo).

  • "La Chanson Cerise", featuring the 5-star "Tasteful Excellence" Escoffier (Cryo).

  • "Epitome Invocation", featuring the 5-star weapons Azurelight (Sword) and Symphonist of Scents (Polearm).

Phase II Event Wish Schedule

All three banners share the same schedule:

The notice does not specify the time zone. Treat the times above as server time and check the timer on your in-game Wish screen to confirm the exact closing time for your server.

The banner period lasts almost exactly three weeks, giving you time to plan your Primogem budget before making your wishes.

Banner 1 "Void Star's Advent" Featuring Skirk

On this banner, the event exclusive 5-star character "Void Star" Skirk (Cryo) receives a huge drop rate boost. Event-exclusive characters like Skirk are not available through the standard "Wanderlust Invocation" Wish, making her event banner the way to obtain her during this period.

Three 4-star characters also receive drop rate boosts alongside Skirk:

  • "Ode and Oblation" Dahlia (Hydro)

  • "Golden Vow" Candace (Hydro)

  • "Coordinates of Clear Frost" Mika (Cryo)

If Skirk is your target, remember to check your current character banner guarantee count before spending your Primogems.

Banner 2 "La Chanson Cerise" Featuring Escoffier

The second character banner features the event-exclusive 5-star character "Tasteful Excellence" Escoffier (Cryo). Like Skirk, Escoffier is not available through Wanderlust Invocation.

The boosted 4-star characters are the same as those on Skirk's banner: Dahlia, Candace, and Mika.

This means that whichever character banner you choose, you will see the same three boosted 4-star characters. Your decision can therefore focus on whether you want Skirk or Escoffier, rather than on a different 4-star lineup.

The Shared Guarantee Count

This is one of the most important details to understand before spending your Primogems. According to the official notice, the guarantee count for "Character Event Wish" and "Character Event Wish-2" is shared and accumulates across both banners. However, this count is independent of the guarantee counts for other Wish types, including the weapon banner and standard banner.

What does this mean in practice? Progress made on Skirk's banner carries over when you switch to Escoffier's banner, and vice versa. You can change your target between the two character banners without starting your guarantee count from zero.

However, wishes made on Epitome Invocation do not increase your character banner guarantee count. The character and weapon banners follow separate tracks, so make sure you plan your Primogems accordingly.

For the complete rules, open the Wish screen and select Details in the bottom-left corner.

Epitome Invocation: Two 5-Star Weapons

The Phase II weapon banner features two event exclusive 5-star weapons:

  • Azurelight (Sword)

  • Symphonist of Scents (Polearm)

The boosted 4-star weapons are:

  • Sturdy Bone (Sword), an event-exclusive weapon

  • Sacrificial Greatsword (Claymore)

  • Favonius Lance (Polearm)

  • The Widsith (Catalyst)

  • Sacrificial Bow (Bow)

As usual, you can use Epitomized Path to select one of the promotional 5-star weapons as your target, either Azurelight or Symphonist of Scents. The event exclusive weapons featured on this banner are also unavailable through Wanderlust Invocation.

The official notice does not explicitly specify which weapon is intended to pair with which character. Before setting your Epitomized Path, check the weapon type of your intended character in-game and review the banner's Details page.

Test Run Try Before You Decide

While these Event Wishes are available, the Test Run event is also open. You can use fixed lineups containing selected trial characters to enter specific stages and test how the characters play. Complete the corresponding challenges to earn their rewards. With two 5-star Cryo characters featured in Phase II, Test Run is a useful way to try both characters before deciding where to spend your Primogems.

Three Wish Types, Three Different Tracks

To avoid confusion, here are the three Wish types mentioned in the notice:

  • Character Event Wish and Character Event Wish-2: These are the Skirk and Escoffier banners. Their guarantee count is shared between the two.

  • Epitome Invocation: This is the weapon banner. It has its own guarantee track and includes Epitomized Path to help you target a 5-star weapon.

  • Wanderlust Invocation: This is the standard banner. It does not include event exclusive characters or weapons, and its guarantee count is separate.

The notice emphasizes that the character banner guarantee count is independent of other Wish types.

In other words, making many wishes on the weapon banner will not bring you closer to obtaining Skirk or Escoffier. The reverse is also true: wishes on the character banners do not increase your weapon banner guarantee count.

This distinction is easy to overlook if you think of every Wish as part of one shared pool. If you are unsure, open the Details screen in the bottom-left corner of the Wish page to review the rules for each banner.

Checklist Before Your First Wish

Before spending any Primogems, make sure you have checked the following:

  • You have decided on your target: Skirk, Escoffier, or both.

  • You have tried the characters through Test Run.

  • You know that event-exclusive characters and weapons are not available through Wanderlust Invocation.

  • You have reviewed the Details page for the guarantee count and Epitomized Path rules.

  • You have noted the banner deadline: November 3, 2026, at 14:59.

These five points may seem simple, but checking them before your first Wish can help you avoid spending Primogems without a clear plan.

A Three-Week Plan: Start With Your Budget

With two potential character targets and one weapon banner available, it is worth planning your spending in advance.

Here is a practical approach:

  1. Choose your main target first. Are you aiming for Skirk, Escoffier, or both? Because the character banner guarantee count is shared, you can switch between the two banners without losing your accumulated count.

  2. Try both characters in Test Run. Get a feel for their gameplay before making your first Wish.

  3. Count your total Primogems and Intertwined Fate. Divide your available resources by week instead of spending everything on the first day.

  4. Decide on the weapon banner later. Character and weapon banner guarantee counts are separate, so consider how your weapon pulls will affect the budget left for characters.

  5. Top up early if your budget falls short. If you plan to purchase Genesis Crystals, arranging your top-up well before the banner deadline gives you more time to prepare.

A clear budget can help you prioritize the character you want most while avoiding unnecessary spending across all three banners.

Tips for Managing Three Banners at Once

  • Avoid spreading your wishes across every banner without a plan. The guarantee counts for character and weapon banners are separate, so decide which banner type deserves priority.

  • Consider the boosted 4-star characters. Dahlia and Candace are Hydro characters, while Mika is a Cryo character. Their elements may be worth considering when planning your team composition.

  • Remember the closing time: November 3 at 14:59. Once the banners end, you will have to wait for a rerun to wish on them again.

  • Use Epitomized Path deliberately. Choose your target weapon before you begin wishing, rather than deciding after spending your resources.

  • Do not overlook Test Run. Its rewards can help with your preparations, and you can try the featured characters without spending Primogems.
